What can I see and visit?

Our tours pass Madrid's most iconic landmarks and unique neighborhoods. While on board, you'll see beautiful buildings like the Prado Museum, the Las Ventas bullring, the Puerta de Alcalá, the Palacio de Real Madrid, and many more! Sit back and relax on the upper deck as the tour passes the bustling Gran Vía, expansive Plaza España and grand Atocha Station. Along the way, our guides will share facts and stories about Madrid's fascinating history, architecture and dynamic culture.

Do tours operate daily?

Yes, Big Bus Tours Madrid operates every day of the year, apart from the 25th of December. Occasionally local events might affect our service due to road closures.

How long does the tour take?

Our tour duration is approximately 80 minutes. Please note that our tour duration may be affected by traffic or road closures on some occasions.

Do I need to choose a date for my tour?

Yes – when you book your ticket, you will need to select the date you’d like to go on the bus and the time of travel, to guarantee your seat.

How do I redeem my ticket?

Please arrive at Stop #1 15 minutes ahead of your tour departure time in order to redeem your booking confirmation voucher with one of our staff.

Is there a discount available for groups?

Yes, discounts are available for groups of 10 or more.

Are child tickets available?

Yes. Child tickets are available for children between the ages of 5–15. Children under 4 may travel free of charge but must sit on their caregiver's lap when the service is full. Buggies and pushchairs must be stowed on the lower deck. All children under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Are the buses wheelchair accessible?

No, our bus tour is not wheelchair accessible.

I bought a ticket for someone else, but it has my name on it, is this ok?

Yes. The person taking the tour will need to present the booking confirmation (printed or on a device) to a uniformed staff member before hopping on the bus. Staff will scan the QR code and present the guest with a ticket that can be used to board the tour. Tickets must be retained for hopping on the bus - please note that tickets cannot be replaced if lost.

Can I eat and drink on the bus?

No, eating and drinking is not permitted on the bus.

Can I bring a pet on board the bus?

Yes, pets are permitted on board the bus as long as they do not occupy a seat to the exclusion of other guests. Pets must be kept on a leash or in a basket, and muzzled where necessary.

Can I bring my luggage on the bus?

No, smoking or vaping of any substance is not permitted on the bus.

Are discounts available for specific age groups?

Yes, discounted tickets are available for guests aged 65+, and children aged 5–15. Children under 4 may travel free of charge but must sit on their caregiver's lap when the service is full.

Is there a guide on the bus?

Yes. Our expert guides provide tour narration in English and Spanish.

What happens if I miss the bus?

If you miss your booked tour time, please speak to a Big Bus Tours staff member at Stop #1 to see if you can be rebooked on to a later tour that day.

Can I bring a guide dog on the bus?
