Watch as New York City comes alive with the sparkling city lights as the sun sets over the Hudson River. Guests will also have access to the brand-new Observatory Experience complete with 10,000 square feet of interactive exhibits that invite guests on a journey beginning with the building’s construction to its current place in pop culture.

Friday - Sunday: 9:00am to 12:00am

Special Hours:
May 30th - 9:00am to 12:00am

Once purchased, you must book your preferred date & time with the Empire State Building.
Please retain your printed copy of your booking & your reserved time slot to gain entry to the attraction.

Sunday-Monday: 12:00pm-9:00pm* (through Mar. 11)
Sunday-Friday: 1:00pm-10:00pm* (Mar. 13-31)
Saturday: 11:00am-11:00pm* (Mar. 13-31)

Special Hours:
Feb. 19 & 20: 10:00am-10:00pm*
Mar. 12: 10:00am-10:00pm*

Important Information

All guests must pass through security to access the Observatory. The Empire State Building is fully ADA compliant and is wheelchair-accessible. Service dogs, motorized and non-motorized wheelchairs are permitted. Peak entrance times are between 11:00am - 2:00pm, and the hour either side of sunset.
Admission tickets to the 102nd-floor observatory are sold at the observatory ticket office, on the 2nd floor of the building and are in addition to regular admission tickets and can only be visited in conjunction with the Main Deck; 86th Floor.

Covid-19

In compliance with new NYC mandate, and effective August 30, 2021, all guests 12 years of age or older must present proof of Covid-19 vaccination upon entry of the Empire State Building Observatory. Reservations are still required. Guests must show proof of vaccination (with at least one dose administered) with a valid I.D. and either of the following
• NYC COVID Safe App
• Excelsior Pass
• CDC Vaccination Card (or photo)
• NYC Vaccination Record
• Official Vaccine Record
International guests must show an official immunization record that includes:
• First and Last name
• Date of birth
• Vaccine product name – approved vaccines:
• Moderna
• Johnson & Johnson
• Pfizer/BioNTech
• AstraZeneca/SK Bioscience
• Serum Institute of India/COVISHIELD
• Vaxzevria
• Sinopharm
• Sinovac
• Date(s) administered
• Site where the vaccine was administered, or name of the person who administered it.
• A photo I.D. is required for anyone over 18 years old.
