Generally walking through at an average pace, seeing all exhibits, it takes about 90 minutes.
Unfortunately, animals are not allowed on PIER 39, with the exception of Service Animals.
The aquarium is mostly accessible. Behind the Scenes and Feed the Sharks Experiences: Accommodations can be made for standard-size wheelchairs.
There are wheelchairs to use during your time at the aquarium, first come first serve, photo ID held during the use of the wheelchair.

They're home to over 20,000 animals, from octopuses to eight-foot sharks. The aquarium also features more than 300 feet of underwater tunnels made from crystal clear acrylic, submersing you in the mysteries of the deep. You'll also be able to see mesmerizing walls of jellies in custom-designed tanks, and encounter leopard sharks, bat rays, skates and more in special touchpools. The Aquarium also offers VIP behind-the-scenes experiences, and regular themed events.
