Where and when do tours start?
The Sunset Tour departs from Stop #1: Union Station.
Tours from 10th March - 30th April depart at 6:30pm
Tours from 1st May - 2nd September depart at 7:00pm
Tours from 3rd September - 30th December depart at 6.30pm
The Sunset Tour takes approximately 2 hours and is not a hop-on, hop-off tour.

Daily between 10 March - 30 December
Look for a team member with a Big Bus logo at to redeem your voucher before boarding. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your departure time as the tours leave promptly.
On which days does the tour operate?
Big Bus Tours Washington DC operates 363 Days a year as we are closed on 24th November (Thanksgiving) & 25th December. (Christmas Day) Occasionally, service may be affected by roadworks, city events, poor weather and other unpredictable circumstances, so please check with a member of staff or check our service information for the most up-to-date Tour scheduling information.
Do I need to specify a date for travel?
If you have booked onto a specific date for the Sunset Tour, this is when we expect you to arrive. If you do need to change your Tour date please contact us on https://www.bigbustours.com/ using the chat function. Remember though, your Sunset Tour ticket can be used anytime within 6 months after purchase.
What is the child ticketing policy?
Child tickets are available for children aged between 3 and 12 years. Children aged 2 years and under may travel free of charge. Children aged 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult. Strollers and pushchairs must be folded and stowed on the lower deck.
What is the food and drink policy?
No food or alcohol is permitted on board the bus. Please feel welcome to bring non-alcoholic drinks in screw-top bottles.
Accessibility
Big Bus operates wheelchair accessible vehicles that can accommodate weight up to 650 pounds. Please be advised that the entire fleet in Washington DC is not wheelchair accessible. If you or your travelling partner(s) requires an ADA accessible vehicle, please contact Big Bus no less than 48 hours prior to your planned tour commencement. They can then arrange for a suitable vehicle to be available at the time and location required. Please also note that passengers with mobility impairments may not be able to access the upper deck on our buses. They cannot guarantee the accessibility of the various attractions along the tour.
Refunds
To request a refund, if booked directly with Big Bus Tours visit the Big Bus Tours App or by using the enquiry form available on the website bigbustours.com/contactWDC. If you booked via a 3rd partner, please go back to the original booker agent for your refund request.
