Is there a commentary in my language?
All tours feature live English-speaking guides. Pre-recorded commentary is also available in 7 languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Mandarin, Italian, and Russian. Free earphones are provided onboard.
Do I need to specify a date of travel?
Yes. You'll select your travel date at booking. For multi-day tickets, days must be used consecutively. Some ticket extras may require separate bookings.
Do bus tours operate every day?
Yes, year-round. Services may be affected on holidays or during events like St. Patrick’s Day or Christmas. Check the Big Bus Dublin service info page for updates.
How do I activate my ticket?
Use the Big Bus Tours app to activate your digital ticket on the day of travel. If unable to activate, show your printed QR code to staff for a paper ticket.
What is the child ticketing policy?
Child tickets apply to ages 5–15. Children aged 4 or under may ride free but must be accompanied by an adult.
Are the buses wheelchair accessible?
85% of our buses are wheelchair accessible.
Is food and drink allowed on board the bus?
For safety reasons, only bottled water is allowed onboard.
Day Tour Departure Times
Tours begin at 9:00 AM from Stop 1 (13 Upper O'Connell Street). Buses arrive every 20–30 minutes until 5:30 PM. You can board from any of the 20+ stops.

How do I join the Walking Tour?
Show your ticket to join the Yellow Umbrella Walking Tour, departing daily at 11:00 AM from the Spire on O’Connell Street.
What’s included in the Night Tour?
A 1-hour guided tour aboard an open-top bus, showing Dublin’s illuminated landmarks. Departs nightly from Stop #1 at 7:00 PM (and 8:30 PM from late March–early October).
