Important information
What is the child ticketing policy?
A child ticket is available for children aged between 3 and 12 years. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Children aged 2 years and under may travel free of charge. Children aged 15 years and under must be accompanied by an adult. Strollers and pushchairs must be folded and stowed on the lower deck.
Do I need to specify a date of travel?
Yes –we’ll ask you to select the date and time to visit Alcatraz, for Hop-on Hop-Off please visit bigbustours.com/manage-my-booking to book the day you’d like to hop on the bus. If you’re touring with us for more than one day, your ticket must be used across consecutive days, and the date you select at time of booking should be the first day of your tour.

The Big Bus tour of San Francisco operates every day of the year.
What is the food and drink policy?
No food or alcohol is permitted on board the bus. Non-alcoholic drinks in screw-top bottles are permitted.
Accessibility
Big Bus operates wheelchair accessible vehicles that can accommodate a weight up to 650 pounds. Please be advised that the upper deck on our entire fleet in San Francisco is not wheelchair accessible. Passengers with mobility requirements may not be able to access the upper deck of our buses. Big Bus cannot guarantee the accessibility of the various attractions along the tour.

How do I activate my bus ticket?
Download the Big Bus Tours app, add your booking, and tap ‘Activate’ on the day of travel. Show the activated ticket to the driver.
Where does the Sunset Tour depart?
It departs from Stop #1 (Big Bus Visitors' Center) at 6:00 PM. Arrive 20–30 minutes early as seating is first-come, first-served.
Can I split my group across different devices?
Group tickets must be activated on one device. For separate travel, print individual tickets or contact support to split your booking.
How does the bike rental offer work?
Simply present your Big Bus ticket at any Blazing Saddles location and get 1 hour free when you purchase a 1-hour bike rental.
